| In its natural language (Arabic), the Quran is the direct Word of Allah (God) to mankind through the prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Arabic is a very rich language, and words have many shades of meaning. While the text of the original Arabic Quran is identical and unchanged since its revelation, you will find various translations and interpretations. Anytime a translation is done into another language, the translator has to interpret the meaning and render it in the new language, which of course has different rules of grammar. It is, by nature, an approximation of the meaning, since words and ideas cannot be expressed identically in different languages. Any translation of the Quran no longer retains that 'official' and perfect status, however it can be tremendously helpful to people wanting to learn more about Islam. We would strongly encourage those who want to learn about Islam to also read a scholarly written commentary of Quran (tafseer). A tafseer references to reasons behind a verse, to sayings of prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) (hadith) and to acts of prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) (sunnah). |

| Dans sa langue d'origine (l'arabe), Le Coran est la parole directe d'Allah (Dieu) á l'humanité á travers Son Prophète Mohammed (que la paix soit sur lui). L'arabe est une langue très riche, et les mots ont plusieurs significations variées. Alors que le texte du Coran arabe original est identique et inchangé depuis sa révélation, vous trouverez différentes traductions et interprétations. Lorsqu'une traduction est faite dans une autre langue, le traducteur doit interpréter la signification et le restituer dans la nouvelle langue qui a des règles de grammaires qui sont différentes. Cela est, par conséquent, une approximation de la signification, puisque les mots et les idées ne peuvent être exprimés á l'identique dans différentes langues. Toute traduction du Coran ne porte plus ce status "officiel" et parfait, cependant il peut être extrêmement utile á ceux qui veulent apprendre plus sur l'Islam. |

| Kur'an-ı Kerim indirildiği arapça dilinde bütün insanlığa Hz. Muhammed (s.a.v.) aracılığı ile gönderilmiş Allah-u Teala sözüdür. Arapça, sözcükleri çeşitli manalara gelebilen zengin bir dildir. Arapça Kur'an-ı Kerim indirildiğinden bu yana değişmediği halde, değişik dillerde çeviri ve yorumlarını bulabilirsiniz. Bir dilden diğer bir dile çeviri yapıldığında, çeviri yapan kişi, anlamı yorumlamak ve farklı dilbisine sahip olan diğer dilde yorumlamak zorundadır. Çeviriyi yapan, sözcükler ve fikirler diğer dilde tamamıyle aynı şekilde ifade edilemeyeceği için anlamı en yakın şekilde ifade etmeye çalışır. Kur'an-ı Kerim'in herhangi bir çevirisi artık indirildiği mükemmel halini muhafaza etmez ancak çeviriler İslam'ı daha iyi anlamak isteyenler için vazgeçilmez bir kaynaktır. İslam'ı daha iyi öğrenmek isteyenlere Kur'an-ı Kerim'in akedemik yorumu olan tefsiri okumalarını şiddetle tavsiye ederiz. Tefsir, bir ayeti açıklarken, arkasındaki nedenlere, Hz. Muhammed'in (s.a.v.) söz ve davranışlarına işaret eder. |
